ADULT EDUCATION

Adult Sunday school classes resume on September 10, convening at 9:45 am. The adult class will meet in the chapel, while the young adult class meets concurrently downstairs in the Social Hall. For the first two weeks, our class will examine the 18th chapter of the Gospel according to Matthew. This Bible study will follow the lectionary readings for those Sundays.

Beginning on September 24, the adult class will spend six weeks discussing the Protestant Reformation. October 31, 2017 is the 500th anniversary of the day Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses against the selling of indulgences to the All-Saint’s church door in Wittenberg, Germany.

Presbyterian theologian, Donald McKim, recently published a six-week study intending to open the door to reflecting on the Protestant Reformations. We will explore the backgrounds to the Reformations (notice they are plural) and then each of the four Reformation traditions. The discussion will include the Reformations modern churches are experiencing. The participant book may be purchased from the church for $5. Join us for this Bible study and discussion
